"Take Back Your Profession" –– September 13, 2008 at UC Irvine

The first pre-Lobby Day 2009 training even of the season, our SoCal UHC Conference titled “Take Back Your Profession” (See our “UniversalHealthCare flyer” was a fabulous success, thanks largely to co-coordinators and planner-extraordinaires medical students: Jen Alloo, MS2 (UC Irvine) and Matt "Jay Macks" Greenberg, MS2 (USC). 

Over 150 health professional students (medical, pre-health and public health) attended, from not only UCI and USC, but also Western, UCLA, UCSD and SDSU.

The two presented their Poster at the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) National Convention, March 2009 in Washington, DC.

Registration Fees and Funding Donations

Registration of $5 was collected via Eventbrite.  Contributions were also received from UCI and USC medical education offices, as well as PNHP ($100 for each speaker).
